Abba Kovner (1918-1987) was one of Israel's leading poets. The poem originally published in Issue 25 is taken from an anthology of poems entitled Against Forgetting: Twentieth Century Poetry of Witness, edited with an introduction by Carolyn Forché, by W.W. Norton, New York, New York. Note that the poem has been redacted from this record, but the full citation originally printed in the issue has been preserved in this archive.
