Abstract
We examine the motivations and outcomes of hybrid venture capitalists. We construct a strong dataset from multiple sources that include investor, fund, and partner level data. Our results provide some evidence in favor of our partial hypothesis that impact funds can accomplish strategic advertising objectives. We are limited by a number of issues with data in the venture capital industry.
