About This Journal
The Eastern Sierra History Journal is a joint project of Sierra Forever and the Claremont Colleges Library’s digital publications unit. Established in 1970, Sierra Forever has been led by visionary citizens interested in helping the U.S. Forest Service provide interpretive education relevant to the unique region, sharing with the public the importance of the Sierra public lands, an educational commitment and mission that dovetails perfectly with that of the Claremont Colleges’ Library.
