Abstract
Purchasing or renting an airplane in the present economic climate is a major financial undertaking. This paper presents a mathematical model implemented in a FORTRAN program, which allows the reader to compare the costs per hour of flying a plane under different conditions of use. The paper also examines trends in the costs per hour as a function of use and methods of access.
