Abstract

Hymn of the Green Hour is the second installation of the thesis project I began in 2020 in the completion of my Media Studies degree. The first installation of this project, Kudzu Kingdom, is a fantastical and educational video about kudzu, an invasive vine both loved and loathed by those who know it. Hymn of the Green Hour is an exploration of kudzu as a metaphor for desire — specifically, queer desire — a theme that creeps up in art and literature inspired by the vine.
