Abstract

This ethnographic narrative weaves together the story of my journey as a novice teacher, as I worked to create a positive classroom ecology and learned countless lessons while assuming the roles of student, teacher, and observer. Through the analysis of multiple artifacts, intended to reflect my teaching practices, this narrative challenged me to examine my role in society and consider my past intentionally. With humility, hard work, and the connections I made with my students, this narrative tracks my progress as a teacher and displays my hopes and dreams for the future.
