Abstract

This ethnography features the journey of a first-year kindergarten Spanish Dual Immersion Teacher, centering on my experiences and educational advantages that have shaped me as an educator. This narrative is reflective, personal, and analytical underlining how both my students and I have grown throughout the school year. It is broken up into four distinct parts including becoming a teacher, getting to know your students, immersing yourself in the community and the reflection of becoming that effective teacher. As this ethnography progresses we see personal growth and reflection of my own development in order to become a socially just and effective teacher.
