Abstract
Along the N 1a Highway, the lush Swiss countryside is broken up by a series of long claustrophobic tunnels. The Geneva By-Pass project is a competition entry that proposes to physically improve and aestheticize the motorist's transit through three subeterranean passages by using sound and light to emphasize the kinesthetic experience of travelling.
