Abstract
This special issue addresses many facets of this important contemporary challenge – ‘‘The Ins and Outs of Leading Teams.’’ It focuses on perspectives and practices that provide insights and advice about how to make teams more effective. In particular, actual cases and examples are presented that demonstrate the challenges and opportunities of leading teams. A key theme for many of the organizations discussed in this volume centers on how to enable influence to be effectively shared among team members
