Abstract
Operational Environment Watch provides translated selections and analysis from a diverse range of foreign articles and other media that our analysts and expert contributors believe will give military and security professionals an added dimension to their critical thinking about the Operational Environment.
Derived from insurgent social media, a training video obtained from the capture of an ISIS courier and provided to the British news source Sky News demonstrates that ISIS and Syrian rebels are increasingly developing improvised robotic weaponry. According to the reporting, in many instances militants are using scrap material to repair or piece together to produce a makeshift armored vehicle or alternative forms of weaponry.
