Abstract
Recently India’s GDP growth has been revised downwards and there are a number of indicators that seem to suggest that the Indian economy is on unstable grounds. This thesis attempts to use a Vector Auto-Regression (VAR) forecasting model to predict how changes in legislation, pertinently those targeted towards increasing investment in the Indian economy, will affect GDP growth rates and if the targets set by the Indian government are likely to be actualized.
