Abstract
A look into how the advent of private equity secondary trading, influenced by the rise of digital prime brokerages of private securities, has changed the IPO process for large tech firms. This research takes into account data from all private funding rounds from the largest private tech firms that have recently IPO'd or have yet to IPO, and traces correlations between funding activities and eventual IPO strategy.
