Abstract
This research looked at the effect of strong corporate culture emphasized by the Executive Boards on the market performance of companies in three industries. The companies from the Oil/Energy Industry, Hotel/Hospitality Industry, and the Technology Industry were examined through the metrics of their Market Capitalization (MCAP) and Price Per Share (PPS) values. The growth in these metrics were found to be related to the level of adherence to progressive policies related to Diversity, LGBTQ protections, and climate change. It was also shown that the corporations that were aggressive in their moves to increase consumer bases experienced growth of their MCAP and PPS. This paper will discuss the extent to which corporations within each industry experienced overall market growth or loss because of their policies.
