Abstract
Political sectarianism, accelerationism, and nationalistic trends converged on January 6th, 2021, and led to the attack on our Capitol. The entwinement of these ideologies has created a new, right-wing, mass political movement centered on violence. The movement feeds off deep distrust of government and the fear of the increasing diversity of movements, ideologies, representatives, and demographics in the population. Many white Americans perceive these shifts as posing a threat to our nation's status quo. The attack on our Capitol congregated QAnon, Christian nationalist, and white supremacist factions.
