Abstract
This paper reviews the possible effects of extralegal information on both civil and criminal cases. It first distinguishes the difference between civil and criminal cases to the reader. Then the next portion mentions theories that could affect two types of cases, both civil and criminal. The third part of the paper then illustrates certain situations that may affect civil cases, while the next portion then illustrates situations that can affect criminal cases. Finally, the last part of the paper provides areas of future research needs on where the literature needs to go and understand further.
