Abstract
Decentralized finance is an emerging alternative to traditional banking that enables users to leverage their assets for considerably higher yield than a bank may offer. The cryptocurrency ecosystem that emerged from the creation of BTC is diverse and robust. Defi-driven cryptocurrency yields have emerged as a strong contender to traditional finance offerings, providing an alternate investment option with distinct mechanisms, yet comparable fundamentals. This thesis will explore the intricacies of these yields, comparing them with those provided in global finance.
