Abstract
This work is a review of Tradition as Truth and Communication: A Cognitive Description of Traditional Discourse, by Pascal Boyer. Boyer challenges two common assumptions in most anthropologists' explanations of traditional repeition: repetition is the result of a conservative mindset, and traditions are held together by an underlying worldview.
