Abstract
This thesis outlines the dynamic relationship between students and school administrations on the basis of health. As a biopolitical group of institutions, the Claremont Colleges govern student bodies to protect the health and safety of the student population and encourage academic achievements. Students internalize and contest the ideologies of health they encounter while at school to best suit their needs. On account of their health citizenship, students make claims against the institution, especially when health resources such as Student Health Services fail to provide the care students have been taught to expect and desire.
