Abstract

South Korean pop music (K-Pop) has reached outside of Korea, and with the expansion of K-Pop comes their fans and the culture within fandoms. Utilizing fancams is an important aspect of online fan culture, and the circulation of this type of media helps forms a fan's identity on the internet within their fandom's hierarchy.

This thesis is restricted to the Claremont Colleges current faculty, students, and staff.
