Abstract
"Doujin" is the term roughly for fanfiction culture in Chinese. In this study, I investigate the cultural significance of young-female-dominated doujin culture in 2020s China's cyberspace. Using ethnographic research methods, this study explores a) doujin fans' online community-building practices, b) doujin as female writing in relation to China's digital feminist discourse, and c) the impact of new media platforms on doujin culture.
