Abstract

Sara Kapadia, founder and outgoing Editor of The STEAM Journal, looks back to how it all started, rather like an egg of an idea, and how it grew with potential for more flourishing.

Author/Artist Bio

If Sara Kapadia was not a human she would be a thylacine, an extinct creature made up of seemingly contrasting and fascinating parts. Sara is an artist, educator, yoga teacher, academic, and children's book writer who uses a transdisciplinary approach. Sara is of South Asian descent. Sara grew up on folktales from India and Bangladesh. With a Pakistani father, Bangladeshi mother, and Indian husband Sara is unsure who to support in cricket matches. Sara has a Bachelor’s from University of Cambridge, a Master’s from University of London, and a PhD from Claremont Graduate University. Sara is the founder and past editor of The STEAM Journal.
