Abstract

Lauren Bon, artist and director of the Metabolic Studio, gives an artistic performance on the interrelationship between the Owens Valley and Los Angeles from the L.A. Aqueduct of 1913 to the present, with her first public presentation on her project for a water wheel for the L.A. River.

This presentation was part of The L.A. River: Past, Present, Future: A conference funded by the Mellon Elemental Arts Grant held at Pomona College, Smith Campus Center, Rose Hills Theatre.

Bon is introduced by Kathleen Howe, Sarah Rempel and Herbert S. Rempel ’23 Director of the Pomona College Museum of Art.
