Abstract
AIDS has been constructed and conceptualized as a gay male disease, and public response to the crisis-media attention, allocatlon of research resources, discussion of disability benefits-has focused on men. Where are women in the AIDS epidemic? How have we been affected, how should we see ourselves, what roles should we take?
