Abstract

The bulk of this paper uses reproductive justice framework as a launching point, which focuses on access to basic resources like medical care. The goal of this framework is to emphasize intersectionality in understanding reproductive experiences and highlights how power dynamics share reproductive politics (Solinger, 2019). For this project, I interviewed 6 Latinas who had recently had a baby or who were pregnant at the time of the interview with the goal of understanding their relationship to music and how music helped them throughout their pregnancy and hospital experience.
